So here it is. I only got one real reply to my email. So I'm giving this a second chance.
I'm willing to put in the work on building the forum, but only if there is sufficient interest in members joining us.
So first, this poll. It will determine whether I build the forum, or whether we all just drift off to do whatever.
Basically it's like this. If you want to see an awesome Zelda forum, with lots of new features and such, vote Yes.
If you don't particularly care, vote no.
Guests are allowed to do this, and post in this board. So I'd also like to encourage those of you reading this, who might know others interested in Zelda RP, to get them to come to this thread and leave a message, as well as to cast their vote.
If there are enough votes for Yes by the middle of February, I'll begin work on the new forum.
This time, I'm going to make some changes. For starters, I'm going to initiate a lot of ideas as Polls, for the members to vote on what they want to see.
If a member has an idea they wish to be polled, they can bring it to me via PM, and I'll put it up for the players to vote on as a whole.
This is meant to replace the staff doing most of the work, and ending up with ideas that the bulk of the players may not agree with.
Rather, we'll be a forum where those who join will have a say in what happens in nearly every aspect.

How about posting a link on FB to this website? Good idea? I know a few Zelda fans and some of them are the creative type too!

I haven't got a Facebook. But if you have one, feel free to put a link up for it.

Sorry it's been a while. I've been super busy. If you build up the site, I'll help even if I am a bit slow. Also I do have a fourm that takes affliates so maybe I can get something up there to help promote the site. Maybe we can get some traffic from there.

That'd be great Deshi.
I've played some of Skyward Sword, but the Wiimote is such a battery hog that I'm on temporary downtime until I can get some rechargeable ones. xD
However I played it up to where Link is chasing Fi to get his sword. I love the motion controls for the fighting.

I'm still in a bit of shock mode on how to define SS. It's Zelda, but not and yet it is still loveable. I hope you have fun with the game. I know I did. So yeah, when we build up the site, I'll talk with the admin over there and see if I can't get it to be a sister site or an aff.

It is a pretty decent game. The swordplay is just top notch. I hope they never try going back to anything else. It's just awesome to charge at an enemy, with your sword tip near the ground and back, and then whipping it up in a slash across the face. xD
I may be putting up a Poll Board in the next few days, and start setting up Poll questions on how to alter the forum or what things we should have here.

I must admit the game did change my view on how Zelda games should be played, but that still doesn't change the fact that it doesn't feel like a Zelda game XD. This is not bad of course just odd for me.
Any case, some things that I think should be within the Zelda forum is:
Dungeons Open Lands Sidequests Musical Instruments Unique Races A strong story and NPCs that keep the members engaged.
Things that are staples to the series and makes Zelda, Zelda.

I'll put most of it up with a poll to be voted on. xD Since there is just the four of us, it'll just be us voting I suppose.
I'm creating a Polling Board and will start putting up questions and voting options.
When going through it, make sure you go in the order of oldest to newest, rather than top to bottom.
Some of the questions will be working off answers from previous questions.

We can start small and then build. I still will talk to the admin of the other site about getting this affiliated or something.
This is in regards to our staff regulated things, while I believe staff should control things a bit to keep things from getting out of hand, I also believe in fairness. So this is what I had in mind. I do not believe the field should be restricted to races, rather it is restricted to what sort of gear a person has or does not have and how much experience (RP posts) a person has. I believe in dungeons being controlled by staff because this way, the thing won’t unravel and rewards can be gained. I liked the idea of respawning dungeons; however, this would again be based on the characters entering.
So let’s say an older member with loads of RP posts beats a dungeon and then comes back to the same dungeon some time later. Due to level, I would expect the challenge to be bumped up to one where the person could still get something out of it. Now let’s say a newbie comes along and does the same thing. I would expect the difficulty to increase, but not in a fashion that it would be too hard for the new person. Basically, the dungeons adapt to the character going in it to keep it challenging and a unique experience each time.
The other thing was the issue of guns. While I am not completely against this, there is a particular type of gun I am looking at. One that is more magic or a particular type designed for the “high tech” world. Just more ideas floating around.
Sidequests and NPCs to help out people might be an idea too.
*having a bit too much with designs and planning* XD

Gonna rewrite this.
For dungeons, in most cases, once a dungeon is complete, it shouldn't be the exact same dungeon. That just smacks of things like World of Warcraft, and people "grinding" a dungeon just to get stuff.
So what I meant was more like this:
1) First you have the "Great Deku Tree" dungeon. Once it's beaten, it's gone.
2) Later on, the dungeon might become the base for a gang of pirates (or bandits, such as the the dungeon in Kakariko in LttP)
Instead of having the same "low-level dungeon" we use new themes and dungeons. For the most part, dungeons aren't going to deal with things like hearts or stuff. They will be difficult, and generally require a specific item to complete, but beyond that, they will be possible to complete by most, probably.
Guns are only going to appear if we use the Western theme. The bullets might use some type of magic powder in place of gunpowder, but that's all really.
There won't really be any full magic or full high tech guns. The theme is Western, so they'd be something you'd see in a show based on the 1800s in the USA.

Sora, Roy, I need you both to vote in the poll board.
I've locked the one poll, because it's clear Regulated has won out. But the rest aren't as clear-cut, and so everyone has to cast a vote. As soon as they are all in place, I will lock them and we will move on to new polls based on the results of this first group.
In most cases, the answer is decided (especially on some of the multi-question polls, but a few questions still need everyone to vote, to ensure things work out right)
I also have more questions to put in, about things involving magic, classes, jobs, and other things. But I am going to wait until all our current polls are sorted first.

Okay. That makes things less complicated and easier on staff. ^^
